The area near Santa Monica is complex because it is the arrival and departure point for two of the transitions over LAX. When designing the STAR and SID of SMO and LAX, what facts were considered. For example, SMO PEVEE SID will allow for simultaneous operations at both SMO and LAX, but why prop aircraft from LAX Runways 24L/R must head to the 270 degree?
