NEWS  - Huntington Beach air show looking to expand to five-day event

Huntington Beach’s air show is looking to become a longer event with more activities and bring back nighttime concerts, according to details in a public study released by the city.

Pacific Airshow has typically been a three-day affair from Friday to Sunday. Now, organizers are looking to start the air show as early as Wednesday and include a plethora of new activities as they plan for the next decade of the annual event. - The air show anticipates adding to the event air racing, a nightly music festival over three days, wave pool surfing and BMX bowl competitions. 7.  "The New MOSAIC Rule"  -   This Presentation Will Explore the New MOSAIC Rule and What It Means for Recreational Aviators
On Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 Pacific Standard Time  -  Location: EAA96 Builders Hangar, 1017 W. Alondra Blvd, Compton, CA 90220 - At Airventure 2025, FAA announced the new MOSAIC rule. This rule overhauls the Sport Pilot rules to make them much more useful for recreational aviators. Sport Pilots will now be eligible to fly aircraft as large as the Cessna 182. Updated certification standards for light sport aircraft will make it easier to bring new technology to aircraft design, and positions light sport aircraft as a bridge between certified and experimental aircraft.
